Job Details

FUNCTION: The Supervisor, Pilot Recruitment and Retention will work closely with and assist the Chief Pilot in supporting pilot recruitment and retention initiatives.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Actively lead and participate in Porter’s pilot recruitment and pilot retention initiatives

  • Manage Destination Porter, strategic flight college relationships, and any other pilot development initiatives

  • Coordinate pilot recruitment ambassadors, including pilot recruitment events and flight operations promotional events

  • Supervise Pilot Records Administrator and Flight Technical Librarian positions

  • Assist the flight operations management team in any assigned administrative duties or tasks

  • Manage sensitive information in a confidential manner, using discretion and judgement in administering and handling projects involving financial, competitive and other critical and sensitive information.

  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy, or as assigned by the Operations Manager

  • Other duties and projects as approved by the Chief Pilot or Director, Flight Operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible with working hours, including the ability to travel

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask

  • Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite knowledge

  • Ability to manage a team, including Flight Operations and Pilot Recruitment Administrators

  • Ability to build and maintain solid business relationships with key pilot recruitment partners

  • Embodies and exhibits the Porter values in everyday work

  • Post-Secondary education is considered an asset

  • Aviation experience an asset
