Job Details

FUNCTION:  As an Analyst, Commercial Services at Porter, you will be tasked with skillfully applying your analytical skills to identify opportunities for cost control and reduction. Your ideas will matter when brought to the table; well thought out, organized and presented confidently, you will quickly feel your impact on team objectives and at Porter. You will partner with the Manager, Commercial Services and Director, Optimization and Strategy with procurement and strategic cost initiatives while taking the lead role in administering Coupa, our procure to pay platform.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze Porter’s costs structure and identify areas of opportunity for cost reduction
  • ?Assist in creating business plans and analysis for strategic cost initiatives
  • Support our Uniforms department by strengthening inventory management efforts
  • Increase the amount of spend under management by the commercial services team through spend analysis and stakeholder engagement
  • Process requests from departments requiring assistance with POs and errors
  • Provide vendor onboarding training for new business leads
  • Redirect inquires as needed to other internal departments
  • Establish and maintain collegial relationships with Porter team members amdd external partners
  • Any other functions as needed by the Manager, Commercial Services and Director, Cost Optimization and Strategy
  • Administer functions within Porter’s P2P software (Coupa)
  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A University degree with focus in finance or economics (or a business related field)
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong familiarity with the Porter brand
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
  • Previous experience with Coupa or other procure to pay solutions an asset but not essential
  • Superior research and cognitive skills
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Effective analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
