Job Details

The Content Specialist creates copy for Porter’s marketing initiatives. 


  • Crafts incredibly-engaging copy across digital ads, emails, website, print, radio, video, etc.  

  • Develops copy for the Porter website, particularly for destination and route pages. This requires knowledge of SEO writing.

  • Creates materials for other Porter departments (VIPorter, Porter Escapes, Sales, etc.).

  • Liaises with the team’s Project Manager, to keep on track with projects.

  • Assists in managing third-party editorial production of the in-flight magazine re:porter.

  • Assists in the writing of Porter’s social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).

  • Is a keeper of the Porter brand standards, to ensure consistency of voice. 

  • Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.


  • Concern for Safety: Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others.

  • Teamwork: Working collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.

  • Passenger/Customer Service: Providing service excellence to internal and/or external customers (passengers).

  • Initiative: Dealing with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise.

  • Results Focus: Focusing efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization’s standards.

  • Fostering Communication: Listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus.


  • 4+ years’ experience in creative copywriting, for a variety of clients/companies.

  • A degree in marketing or writing from an accredited post-secondary institution, or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to modify voice depending on application, from creative to more instructive copy.

  • Passion for exceptional copy with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong ability to manage tight production deadlines, with quick turnarounds and multiple projects.

  • Fluency in English required. Fluency in French an asset.

  • Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
