Job Details
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, In-Flight Services, this position is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Porter passengers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Flight attendant duties will include, but not be limited to the following duties:
Provide friendly and attentive service demonstrating Porter values
Explain and demonstrate safety procedures
Monitor the general condition of the aircraft cabin
Attend to the safety of the passengers at all times
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
Follow proper working procedures including all Standard Operating Procedures
Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Manager, In-Flight Services

QUALIFICATIONS:
Fluency in English plus one other language. French is a preferred asset
Completion of secondary school. Travel school is a preferred asset
Flight attendants require a minimum of 2 years previous experience working with the public in a customer service role
Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment
Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status (in possession of a permanent resident card) with the ability to travel without restriction
Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete company screening process
Neat appearance and well groomed
Flight attendants may be called to work at short notice and therefore must be able to reach the airport within the 2 hour of callout
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays
First Aid and CPR certification an asset.
Ability to meet required medical standard
