POSITION: Creative Content Specialist 

REPORTS TO: Director, Brand and Creative 

FUNCTION: 

The Creative Content Specialist role is the primary creative writer for Porter, creating copy for Porter’s full range of marketing initiatives. This role also writes and manages the production of the Porter blog re:view.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Develops campaign concepts and crafts incredibly-engaging copy that persuades consumers across all marketing channels – digital ads, email, website, print, radio, video, etc.  
  • Manages the blog’s editorial calendar and budget, contributes and edits content, works with contributors (including content, contracts, payment, etc.)
  • Develops streamlined, but personable copy for flyporter.com, SEO keywords, emails, etc.
  • Creates materials for other Porter departments (VIPorter, Porter Escapes, Corporate Sales) using their completed briefs
  • Assists in the writing of Porter’s social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Ensures QA on all outgoing emails for grammar, working links, consistent brand voice, etc.
  • Holds and maintains the Porter brand standards, to ensure consistency of voice

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • 4+ years’ experience in copywriting, for a variety of clients/companies
  • A degree in marketing or writing from an accredited post-secondary institution, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress and Sprout Social
  • Passion for exceptional copy with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong ability to manage tight production deadlines, with quick turnarounds and multiple projects
  • Fluency in English required. Fluency in French an asset
