Job Details

Reporting to the Manager, Technology Quality Assurance, this position will deal with our customer facing application from conception to post production. As an integral part of our growing team, you will support Porter’s rapidly growing business environment through technology by ensuring that our customer-facing applications are defect free and exceed our customer and end-user experience.



  • Analyze business requirements for customer facing applications.  Working directly with business users and technology teams to understand/review requirements, enhancements, and bug fixes  

  • identify, define and develop test plans for a wide variety of porter applications, by  summarizing business requirements and creating execution test suites  

  • Create, and maintain test cases.  Ensuring testing coverage exists for applications under test when new features or enhancements are added

  • Perform manual functional, system, Integration, and Usability testing on customer facing applications.  Making sure it meets compatibility with a variety of web browsers and mobile devices

  • Accessibility testing of customer facing websites making sure it meets WCAG 2.0 compliance

  • Reporting defects, and verifying issues have been fixed during regression testing 

  • Execute automated test suites using a combination of scripts, off-the-shelf test tools and custom programming

  • Ensure project documentation supports development of QA material

  • Maintain and update basic internal QA applications

  • Any other duties as requested by the Manager of Technology Quality Assurance

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering (or equivalent) preferred

  • 1 – 3 years of Quality Assurance and testing experience in a system and software development environment, including testing web, desktop, and database applications

  • 1 year experience with automated testing tools including configuration and executing test scripts

  • 1 year of database design in SQL Server 2019. Creating, and executing scripts

  • Basic .NET software development skills (C#), Visual Studio 2015

  • Experience using TCM, Bug Tracking, and other QA tools (qTest, Jira, etc)  

  • Basic knowledge of web content accessibility guidelines, and screen reader tools 

  • Clearly articulate ideas and thoughts verbally

  • Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
