Job Details

FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, Systems Operations Control Centre.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aircraft gate planning
  • Update FliteTrac with gating information
  • Disseminate the gate information to required departments
  • Provide advisory service to aircraft arriving, departing and transiting the apron area
  • In conjunction with other SOCC personnel, prioritize aircraft movements as required operationally
  • Coordinate de-icing/anti-icing activities
  • Monitor ramp operations
  • Coordinate aircraft servicing and handling
  • Amendment of aircraft and Operations Centre Manuals
  • Assist in the development of new manuals
  • Coordinate training and training materials
  • Track system network on-time performance
  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including,  reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager, SOCC

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 1-year experience in aircraft ramp operations or airline operations
  • Restricted Radio Telephone Operators Certificate
  • Need to be detailed oriented
  • Possess the ability to Multi-task
  • Above average computer skills. Preference is given to those with knowledge of Sabre FliteTrac, however, training will be provided for all required software systems
  • Dependability (must have a clear attendance record and reliable on-time reporting for work)
  • Supports and adheres to all company policies
  • Ability to communicate and correspond clearly and precisely in English
