Job Details
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, Revenue Accounting, the Revenue Accounting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Finance and Sales teams with the fare and BIDT audit processes and working with our outsourced provider to ensure accuracy and completeness of the e-ticketing audit recovery process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Fare and BIDT e-ticket audit process, while fostering the relationship with our outsourced provider
Liaise with travel agencies to resolve violation discrepancies and billing disputes
Prepare weekly and monthly reports based on tracking of results from Vendor, BSP and ARC
Monitor and analyze performance of the audit process and provide monthly summaries to support executive review
Establish and maintain internal relationships with management and non-management
Develop, maintain and improve models and templates in Excel
Assist with or respond to other ad-hoc financial requests
Analyze results of the Fare and BIDT e-ticket audit to determine trends, issues and key areas to be socialized with management
Support budget process for recoveries and fees resulting from the Fare and BIDT e-ticket audit
Continuously review and streamline processes to ensure transactional tasks are executed efficiently
Review credit card chargebacks and, where appropriate, dispute chargebacks with merchant processors
Support Revenue Accounting team in month end and daily tasks, as required
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

QUALIFICATIONS:
Accounting Certificate or enrollment in designation program
1-2 years of experience in financial coordinator role performing reconciliations and working with financial information
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a high degree of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to professionally handle confidential financial information
Aviation and/or travel agency experience is an asset, but not required
