The Corporate Development department at Porter Airlines is leading the Commercial Growth Program. The Project Specialist will work collaboratively with the multiple leaders at the organization to help scope and execute high-value, cross-functional projects. The Project Specialist reports directly to the Vice President, Corporate Development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in management of company-wide projects to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget and as per the scope expectations of internal stakeholders
Create and update detailed project plans by soliciting requirements and inputs from all stakeholders (internal/external)
Coordinate the activities of internal and vendor resources to ensure deliverables are met
Manage project communications/updates to key audiences
Handle multiple projects at any given time without compromising deadlines, budget or quality of work
Work with the business owners and stakeholders to obtain business rules and requirements, keep them updated and develop high value solutions
Understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or graduate degree
PMP designation or working towards PMP
Project management experience
Experience in consulting, aviation or travel is an asset
Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Google office suite, Smartsheet, Trello
