Job Details

FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, FBO. The Supervisor of Porter FBO will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with the day to day operational functions of all team members which includes the overall administration and staffing requirements of the operation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on safety, awareness and training for all team members
  • Create and maintain a team environment
  • Monitor staff for procedural compliance
  • Auditing of LSR and CSR team, including recording date/time and audit findings
  • Ensure all client inquiries are responded to quickly and accurately
  • Build schedules and complete and process department payroll ensuring sufficient staffing and team is paid correctly
  • Monitor built schedules as needed to ensure sufficient staffing
  • Assign duties and breaks to staff
  • Maintain weekly, monthly and annual logs for all required equipment, fuel and staff
  • Monitor fuel inventory balances for both Avgas and Jet fuel and liaise with CSRs to place fuel orders as required
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of line service in testing aviation fuel, applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures
  • General cleanliness and upkeep of Porter FBO facilities and equipment
  • Coach and mentor all team members to create an operationally safe environment
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including interviewing applicants and train new staff as required
  • Conduct monthly evaluations of probationary team members and provide feedback to the FBO Manager
  • Conduct performance related meetings and coach and motivate all team members through any dispute resolution, and deal with other issues or problems as they arise and as directed by the Manager, FBO
  • Ensure the Manager, FBO is made aware all procedural noncompliance and performance issues in detail
  • Conduct daily shift briefings with team and send daily shift report to the Manager, FBO
  • Weekly revenue reviews and collect payment for outstanding amounts due
  • Set up new tenants and clients within our system
  • FBO software troubleshooting
  • Daily review of fueling delays and FBO performance issues, and build and implement corrective action on the issues that arise
  • Complete bi weekly, monthly and annual finance paperwork
  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education would be preferred
  • Solid airline background and experience in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of FBO operations is an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are essential
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Must be dependable and reliable with minimal supervision
  • Energetic and a self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to obtain an unrestricted airport security pass
  • Flexibility and available to work varied hours
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination
