POSITION: Coordinator, Marketing Partnerships

REPORTS TO: Director, Marketing 

FUNCTION: 
 

The Marketing Coordinator assists with developing and executing media plans to achieve revenue objectives for Porter Airlines. This includes monitoring and updating the media buy and web/email ads tracking, scheduling email sends, providing QA for advertising materials etc..
The role participates in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships with government and airport tourism partners to promote specific destinations Porter serves. The Coordinator also participates in the planning and roll-out of campaigns with private organization partners and with sponsorships.

In addition, the Coordinator acts as an internal contact person for key departments within the organization including Loyalty. This role must understand the business objectives of these partner departments and ensure Marketing delivers work to effectively support their goals. 
This role is highly visible and collaborates with several in-house teams, businesses, airport and external partners. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contributes to the creation of campaign plans that may include print, radio, email and digital media, including audience segmentation. Writes project briefs to communicate the goals of campaign-related copy and creative collateral. Monitors campaign execution, ensuring error-free advertising. Compiles post-campaign reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participates in co-operative marketing partnership discussions with current and potential partners. Maps out marketing campaign blocking to support co-operative partnerships. Partners include, but are not limited to, national and regional tourism organizations, airports, and private corporations.
  • Collaborates with internal groups including the Revenue Management, Creative Design, Digital Advertising and Project Management teams to coordinate the execution of media campaigns to meet company revenue objectives and fulfill media obligations. Serves as a back-up, when needed, to the Marketing department’s Project Manager.
  • Acts as Marketing contact for VIPorter (Porter’s loyalty program) and other internal departments.
  • The email channel is a prime area of responsibility. Schedules email sends and reports on customer engagement in this channel.
  • Supports the execution of Porter’s sponsorship agreements, ensuring the company’s representation is appropriate and on brand.
  • Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.
  • Other special projects and assignments as assigned by the Director, Marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or similar strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in consumer marketing and/or advertising.
  • 3+ years of experience with multi-channel online and offline advertising strategies and campaigns including print and digital media, email and website marketing.
  • Experience coordinating the efforts of multiple peers, superiors and members of diverse teams in a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven production environment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with keen organizational instincts and diplomacy. Must have a passion for exceptional work quality and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience successfully influencing consensus in business relationships for win-win benefits.
  • Experience partnering with external organizations.
  • Experience with an email platform an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French an asset.
