Job Details

FUNCTION: Reporting to the Hub Manager, YTZ, the Resource Coordinator (RC) will function as a communication point, and duty assignment planner for operational department team members in Passenger Service and Ramp. They will be dynamically organizing, communicating with, and deploying resources to ensure complete operational coverage. The RC will be working closely with operational leaders throughout Porter Airlines, including Passenger Service and Ramp Supervisors, as well as SOCC, to ensure all required information is captured, to deploy efficient operational coverage.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Communicate professionally with all operational team members through multiple means of communication, including portable radio, email, instant messaging and phone

  • Utilization of live resource deployment software to coordinate team members into position to arrive/depart all flights safely and efficiently, to deploy team members to assist SSR passengers, coordinate staff for the check-in area, and give direction on other operational needs as required

  • Be able to see things from a larger operational view encompassing all aspects of the operation

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple departments

  • Divide workload fairly and efficiently, on a day to day basis, for operational team members as required

  • Ensure OTP is maintained and mitigate controllable operational delays with clear and concise communication, thorough planning and execution

  • Continuously monitor all arrivals and departures to ensure all the required touch points above and below the wing are completed  

  • Create and update timelines and duties of resource deployment for the entirety of the operation

  • Prepare the following day of operation headstart timelines for the team members

  • Ensure the direction given to operational team members is correct and safe

  • Communicate issues throughout the shift to the appropriate department leaders

  • Daily shift report/handover to the appropriate department leaders and other RC’s

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and telephone protocol

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type 50+ wpm

  • Positive track record of establishing/maintaining positive and cooperative working relationships with others, both internally and externally.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable on a day to day basis

  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness

  • Ability to obtain restricted operator radio license

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain unrestricted airport security pass (RAIC)

  • Attention to detail; the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency
