The Technical Librarian, E195 ensures that all publications and libraries required for the operation of the airline are current. The Technical Librarian, E195 also maintains the electronic flight bags (EFBs), digital libraries and associated EFB applications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and revise the Flight Operations library soft copy and hard copy (if applicable), FOM, AFM, SOP, MEL, FOAG, TCM, GADPM, FDM, Master QRH and FAM as required
Maintain and revise each aircraft library with current publications of the FOM, SOP, GADPM and MEL (if applicable)
Procure publications/duplications of all Flight Operations company manuals from outside vendors for all Flight Crew, Management personnel, aircraft, SOCC and other relevant departments
Distribute all relevant company manuals to Transport Canada, FAA, Transportation Safety Board or other regulatory agencies
Ensure EFB applications are maintained up to date
Organize, manage, and maintain all document storage in accordance with regulatory requirements
Maintain master log of all Manuals including electronic
Troubleshoot and investigate EFB issues
Provide technical writing drafts as required
Ensure all operations entries are complied with as per Transport Canada Regulations
Update and maintain FOAWorld and digital Libraries
Implement corrective actions for audit deficiencies in areas which you have control and/or responsibility
Complete Flight Operations administrative duties as assigned
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
Special projects and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess sound technical records knowledge and experience (airline)
High school graduate, college preferred
Data entry experience
Technical writing experience is an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel
Proficient with EFB Software, including iPads and content management tools
Analytical mind with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills in the English language
Able to work well in a team environment
Able to make frequent trips between Porter Hubs YTZ & YYZ
Must be able to obtain Transport Canada airside security clearance
Able to work different shifts/hours when required
Dependability (must have a clear attendance record and on time reporting record for work)
