Job Details

Reporting to the Director, Fleet Reliability & Parts Procurement, the Maintenance Data Analyst will collect and process in-service data to support reliability monitoring, improvement and associated business cases. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collect and process in-service reliability data including, but not limited to:

    • Flight level statistics (Utilization, Dispatch Interruption, Out of Service Time)

    • Component level statistics (Removals, Deferrals, Strip Reports)

    • Engineering data (Structural findings, Service Bulletin Compliance)

    • Planning & Production data (Work pack summaries, Task sampling results, non-routine findings)

    • Line Maintenance data (Digital workpack releases, labour tracking)

  • Provide data to internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to:

    • Reliability Analyst(s), Maintenance Contracts Administrator, & other Tech-Ops Managers (as needed)

    • Airframe OEMs (monthly/quarterly)

    • Component Vendors (Component Pool Program, Engine OEM, Wheels Brakes & Tires OEM, as needed)

    • Lessors (monthly/quarterly)

  • Provide other relevant data to support analyses for Technical Operations business cases, including data for warranty claims, labour efficiencies, etc.

  • Design & develop databases and processes to enable robust data management in supporting business intelligence implementation and ad-hoc analysis

  • Develop VBA codes / macros, queries and application to automate new processes & reporting for data managed through Tableau, Access and Excel

  • Ensure data integrity by performing data quality tasks such as data verification and data correction

  • Collaborate with other data oriented teams such as Technical Records, IT organization, etc. to ensure consistency and alignment of tools and processes

  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Post-Secondary education in a relevant field preferred

  • Previous experience in the aviation industry is an asset

  • Experience with Tableau (or comparable BI tool) an asset

  • Experience with data processing software an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills

  • Effective analytical and presentation skills

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
