Your attention to detail should impress your colleagues! Speaking of details, see more about the position below:

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience design

  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

  • Be responsible for strategic planning activities and deliverables such as business requirements gathering, user personas, user needs and journey maps

  • Create site maps, wireframes, storyboards, user flows and prototypes to communicate the intended design direction

  • Create visual design concepts and mock-ups for hand-off to development

  • Coordinate with the web development team and participate in the QA process throughout development

Qualifications:

An ideal candidate holds a degree in interaction design or human computer interaction and is able to meet the following requirements:

  • You are a creative and analytical thinker with excellent communication skills.

  • You are well-versed in one or more of the industry standard prototyping tools, such as Axure, InVision or Sketch. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • You are able to create high-quality interaction flows and mock-ups aligned with established brand standards that accurately communicate product functionality to the design, web development and quality assurance teams.

  • You possess intellectual curiosity that encourages end-user research and testing to explore, uncover and analyze end-user requirements.

  • You’re passionate about uncovering pain points and delights in a digital interface, as well as helping to solve difficult user experience problems based on your research.

  • You are humble and appreciate feedback regardless of who it is coming from.

Bonus points if…

  • You understand digital accessibility guidelines and have experience building digital content and applications that can be used by a wide range of people, including individuals who have visual, motor, auditory, speech, or cognitive disabilities.

  • You have experience with qualitative and quantitative user research methods and tools (prototyping, user interviews, usability testing, persona development, journey mapping)

  • You know a little HTML, CSS or JavaScript (don’t worry, we won’t ask you to code; it’ll just make it easier to communicate and work with our web development team.)

  • You read this entire posting and put a link to a GIF of an airplane in your cover letter (we’re not into trick questions, but great design requires reading the requirements to deeply understand users).
