JOB TITLE:Coordinator, Commercial Services
FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Services, the position will be responsible for supporting major contract negotiations and assisting in the analysis of internal business processes for reporting to the senior executive team. The successful applicant must be well spoken, confident in their ability to communicate, a quick thinker, analytical, a problem solver and eager to learn. This position will teach the successful applicant the art of negotiation, business strategy, and business administration and will provide a solid base for anyone looking to grow within a corporate environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vendor negotiations and relationship management
Work with Porter’s internal teams on spending initiatives
Identifying cost saving opportunities within existing supplier relationships
Create and maintain purchasing tracking models
Travel to markets outside of Toronto to visit and assess current or potential vendors
Participate in outside of work social engagements – dining, sporting events etc – with vendors
Management of purchasing procedures throughout the company
Execute contract checklist fulfillment
Various departmental administrative functions as required
Increase amount of spend under management via spending analysis and stakeholder engagement
Multiple projects across multiple deadlines can be expected
Manage some administrative functions within Porter’s P2P software (Coupa)
oRequests from departments for assistance with POs and errors
oProvide vendor onboarding training for new business leads
oRedirect inquires as needed to other internal departments
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
Any other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
A University degree or college diploma
Previous experience in a corporate or customer service environment
Strong familiarity with the Porter brand
Superior research and cognitive skills
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills
Effective analytical and presentation skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
