Job Details

Establish and grow co-operative tourism partnerships and corporate sponsorship partnerships. Develop marketing strategy, messaging and media plans to achieve brand awareness and revenue objectives for Porter Airlines and partners.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Lead Porter’s co-operative marketing program, developing and managing relationships with tourism organizations, as well as corporate, entertainment and media sponsorship partners.

  • Negotiate campaign agreements and media investment dollars with destination tourism

  • partners, looking for opportunities to provide significant value to both parties, with long term relationship development as the goal.

  • Create and supervise the execution of co-operative marketing campaign plans totaling $1-$2 million per annum that include digital media, print, and radio.

  • Leverage internal data for audience segmentation to ensure that campaigns are targeted, conversion-based and effective

  • Develop specific KPIs for each partnership, track results post event/campaign execution and present reports to partners

  • Ensure all partnerships and sponsorships (existing & new) are in line with current business objectives/priorities through on-going evaluation and assessment

  • Ensure contract compliance by tracking and managing all contractual assets agreed to by Porter and our partners, including managing reviews by our in-house Legal department

  • Manage partnership and sponsorship budgets and ensure that campaigns are delivered in full as per agreements and that partnership payments are on-time and accurate

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional in-house teams including Creative, Revenue

  • Management, Technology, Loyalty, “Web UX/UI” and Project Management

  • Act as internal account person for VIPorter (loyalty), and Porter Escapes (vacation package division), and other internal departments.

  • Work with Revenue Management and the Creative Marketing Team to develop network-wide promotional discount campaigns

  • Work within our Email platform and two CMS systems to prepare and post/send assets, including creating pages and managing the development of content that is SEO optimized.

  • Review and QA campaign assets to ensure Porter’s and any co-brand’s standards are met

  • Act as a back-up for the Marketing Department’s Project Manager as needed

  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

  • Seeking and building alliances that further the organization’s objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or similar strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing and/or advertising, with experience in an agency setting preferred.

  • 4+ years’ experience developing multi-channel online and offline advertising strategies and campaigns including print and digital media, email and website marketing.

  • Successful work experience coordinating the efforts of multiple peers, superiors and members of diverse teams in a fast-paced, ever-changing, deadline-driven production environment.

  • Ability to solve complex problems with keen organizational instincts and political savvy.

  • Must have a passion for exceptional work quality and a strong attention to detail.

  • Experience negotiating and successfully moving to agreement on business agreements for win-win benefits.

  • Experience partnering with tourism or government organizations is an asset.

  • Experience with sponsorships is an asset.

  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
