FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, Line Maintenance, the ACA is responsible for assigning and delegating tasks to team members, while ensuring that all aircraft maintenance is accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals and Transport Canada requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals and Transport Canada requirements;
Maintain an AME M2 or E or S license and ACA qualifications on company aircraft and assume the responsibilities of an ACA if the operation requires support;
Acquire and maintain Airport Security Clearance, AVOP, Passport, and full ‘G’ Driver’s Licence
Responsible for mentoring new Apprentices;
Liaise with the Lead and MOC with regards to scheduled assigned overnight work packages;
Responsible for all Apprentices and AME’s assigned to your Work Pack/Aircraft, including time keeping, delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks;
Ensure that all Porter Documentation associated with your aircraft or Work Pack is completed properly prior to submission to Technical Records;
Responsible for the Line Maintenance Engineer’s queries including safety concerns, feedback about the hangar, differences/conflicts between team members, and forward these concerns to the Lead or Supervisor as required;
Assist with ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, generating logs for any equipment that requires repair;
Responsible to ensure the consumable materials and tooling stored in the hangar and service vehicles are maintained in a neat and tidy manner;
Responsible for assisting with AOG maintenance system wide, making yourself available when possible as required;
Assist the Lead in ensuring the hangar work areas, including all locations in hangar 5, hangar 6, and service vehicles are kept clean in an effort to maintain a safe work environment;
Utilize the SMS reporting program for any hazards or incidents that may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3 years experience maintaining the Q400 and/or holding a Leadership Role within a Transport Canada recognized AMO
Holder of Dash-8 400 Maintenance Endorsement
Holder of valid passport
Ability to obtain and maintain Q400 Run-Up designation
Ability to obtain and maintain a Canada Pass (RAIC) and AVOP
Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of Transport Canada Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR’s)
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to delegate effectively
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
Working knowledge of RAAS
